A collection of gentle ghost stories set around a church by the fens in East Anglia. The author was an associate of Montague Rhodes James, and these stories are in imitation of James's style, but lack James's uneasy intensity. - Summary by Peter Yearsley (4 hr 10 min)

I'm fond of these stories and it's lovely to have a single narrator version. Peter Yearsley does his usual competent job. His reading style is a good fit for these gentle stories.

Shelly
A good selection and as Peter says, very like M.R. James but without his knack for terror . Read in a suitably gentle tone. Please keep them coming Peter
Pleasant ghost stories

Stella McQueen
As others say, like M. R. James without the creepiness. Good variety. Perfectly read, as always, by Peter Yearsley.

Loved the stories. Love this narrator. Old fashioned, gentle stories with a delightful main character.
