Lady Jane Grey was an English noblewoman, great-granddaughter of Henry VII. As her cousin, Edward VI, lay on his death-bed, he nominated her as his successor to the English crown ahead of his half-sisters Mary and Elizabeth. Jane's reign lasted a mere nine days, before she was convicted of treason and imprisoned in the Tower of London. Often considered one of the most romantic characters of royal history, Taylor gives us a full biography of the Nine Day Queen. - Summary by Lynne Thompson (8 hr 14 min)

The text was very helpful in establishing a basis for the history of the time; however, it was with pain one endured the halting, inept monotone reading of the LibriVox volunteer from Utah. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

well done !

I enjoyed this a lot. Rare piece of work for true history buffs. Not a well known chapter in British history.
