Rejected Of Men; A Story Of Today
Howard Pyle
Leído por David Wales
Rejected Of Men reimagines the life of Jesus Christ through the lens of early twentieth-century America, offering a unique perspective on a familiar narrative. The story unfolds from the viewpoint of an outsider, providing listeners with a fresh take on the events and teachings that have shaped Christian thought.
In this thought-provoking retelling, Howard Pyle invites us to explore the cultural and societal dynamics of the time, juxtaposing them with the profound messages of love, acceptance, and redemption that Jesus embodies. The setting serves as a backdrop for examining the challenges and rejections faced by the figure at the center of this spiritual journey.
With a blend of historical context and spiritual reflection, Rejected Of Men encourages listeners to contemplate the relevance of these themes in their own lives. Pyle's narrative style, combined with David Wales' engaging narration, brings this distinctive interpretation to life, making it a compelling listen for those interested in faith and history.

Strange little story
TwinkieToes
In my experience, stories about "Christ today" are from the point of view of an eventual follower of Jesus. This one isn't. The ending was anticlimactic, in that life just continued on for the protagonist. However, I did enjoy this story as it gave the "other side of the story" from one who didn't follow Jesus. It got a little preachy at times (especially in the interludes), but overall it was worth the listen. Reader is good, and technical quality was A-OK.
A book every christian should read!

I think every Christian should read this. Its from the Pharisee point of view in realising the truth after and helps press the point that all are equal sinners that need changed by Gods grace. Its well written and would be enjoyed by anyone secular or christian who wants to consider the life of Jesus in a deeper way
