1 John
Bible
NT
Leído por Joshua Nicholson
The First Epistle of John, often referred to as First John and written 1 John, is a book of the New Testament. This fourth catholic or "general" epistle is attributed to John the Evangelist, traditionally thought to be the author of the Gospel of John and the other two Epistles of John. This Epistle was written in Ephesus between the years 95–110. The work was written to counter docetism, the heresy that Jesus did not come "in the flesh," but only as a spirit. It also defined how Christians are to discern true teachers: by their ethics, their proclamation of Jesus in the flesh, and by their love. (Summary by Wikipedia)

There is something special about Joshua Nicholson's reading of First John. Slight nuance of expression bring the words to life and express the true meaning of the phrases in a manner that far surpasses the numerous times I have heard and read the same words.

This is a recording that I like to listen to on a regular basis. It sounds like it's being read out by the author, if that makes any sense.
Insightful and nicely read

American English makes this sound like a narrative from Hollywood movie but I found it insightful! Keep volunteering!

This is like drinking a tonic, given by the One who knows me and therefore everyone in life, eternal and everlasting. So very welcome to listen to again as my 'inner' child finds the presence of Christ's gentle nursing and re-encouragement to simply and not, to embrace my self and life hand in hand with Him and all who are with Him as we move forward today, to assist in securing freely, better tomorrows, encouraging contentment and filled with the joys of pure colours in God's and ours shared light, that highlights us all, both individually and as a people. Of Light and in light, so may we all be blessed and those whom we ever have loved, and do going forward with God. May we feel these blessings as given, in cheerful context, healing and sure. I especially like the way John reassures, that it's alright to feel fine to be ourselves, without getting stuck on idols... things.
thanks a million God bless !!
