Anne of Green Gables
Leído por Rachel Ellen
Lucy Maud Montgomery's classic children's novel, Anne of Green Gables tells the story of a red headed orphan girl with a personality you can't help but love. Despite her "tragical" past, Anne's optimism and imagination have helped her to always see the best in things. Anne's life changes considerably when she is accidentally adopted by the Cuthberts, a brother and sister who thought they were getting a boy to help out on the farm. The Cuthberts decide Anne will have to be sent back to the orphanage but before they know it, she has begun to work her way into their hearts. (Summary by Annie Coleman)

An entancing book, beautifully read As a 63 year old man I do not think that I would have been amongst the book's intended audience. I downloaded the MP3s to give to my great niece, who is 8, but found myself listening to the whole book! I now have all of the Anne of Green Gables books, and hope tht Bethany likes them.
Well read

One of my favorite stories of all time. The reader was magnificent. You could hear all the characters and her love for the story as she read.
great Book!

A tale about an orphan girl who gets adopted by a elderly couple. Her feisty personality gets her into lots of scrapes.
Sold my husband on audiobooks...

I popped in an mp3 cd of rachelellen reading Anne of Green Gables to entertain my family as we had a long drive this Thanksgiving weekend. I have been trying to introduce my husband to the wonders of audiobooks (if for no other reason than to get to listen to them on family car trips) but he was never much interested. Rachelellen's reading is wonderful. Both my husband and six year old son were entranced and we my husband was fast forwarding through the intro's of the chapters to get to the reading at the end of the book because he wanted to finish it before our trip was over and time was running short. Excellent reading. You can tell that the reader loves this book.
a great recording.

I loved this book and this recording. It's wonderful. I hope this reader will upload more books, perhaps even more Anne books. If you are trying to decide between all the AoGG recordings, get past the introduction and into the book on this version and you will love this recording.
Just gorgeous!

AOGG has been a favourite for me since childhood. This narration is fantastic. It really brings to life the characters as they have stood in my mind. Well done narrator! I hope I can find you narrating the rest of the AOGG series.

I enjoyed listening to this audio book. Rachel spoke as Anne perfectly. I grew up watching the Canadian TV series and always meant to read the books. I'm glad I was able to find it here with such a great reader.
