CBS Radio Workshop
Only Johnny Knows
CBS Radio Workshop was an anthology program presenting original radio dramas and adaptations of literary works. Each broadcast offered a self-contained story, with the subject and style changing from one installment to the next.
Rather than following a continuing cast of characters, the series used radio’s full dramatic toolkit: performers, dialogue, music, and sound effects combined to create distinct worlds and situations. Its productions ranged across genres and moods, inviting listeners to follow a story through vivid voices and carefully shaped audio scenes.
The result is a varied listening experience, with the intimacy and imaginative reach of drama made specifically for radio. This installment is titled “Only Johnny Knows.”
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
