One of the forgotten novels by adventure science fiction writer, Jules Verne, "Ticket No. 9672" (also known as "The lottery ticket") is less of science and more of fiction, with a touch of romance and a dose of travelling and scenery description.
Hulda and her mother, Dame Hansen, reside in a Norwegian inn, awaiting the return of Hulda's betrothed, but when his ship is lost at sea, all they find is a cryptic message in a bottle, or rather a lottery ticket!
Circumstances and a series of coincidences lead to a resolution, but will it be a happy one? - Summary by Rapunzelina (5 hr 26 min)

This is a Jules Verne book that I hadn't heard of. It was a great read that kept me guessing till the end. Good job by the readers too! Thank you!

A fun story from an out of the way place. I love Jules Verne. Another great book by Verne is “A long vacation “, I would love to see it in the LibriVox list.

Verne explores the challenges of the warring factions in the individual’s “inner spiritual self” and the “flesh”.
