Pulse Music : Ceol Cuisle


Pulse Music / Ceol Cuisle is a sonic journey into the thoughts and poetic imagination of the late West Limerick poet Michael Hartnett. This unique production features original music and sound design by Seán Mac Erlaine, with texts and quotations drawn from Hartnett's poems and translations.

The work includes contributions from the Michael Hartnett papers in The National Library, the RTÉ radio archive, and the Claddagh Records recording - "The Blink of an Eye." Additional quotations are sourced from the diaries of Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. The writings of Michael Hartnett are featured by kind permission of his estate and the Gallery Press.

Directed and researched by Dylan Tighe, with sound supervision by Richie McCullough, this production is a collaborative effort that showcases the rich tapestry of Hartnett's literary legacy.
