Peter Redgrove The Valley Of Trelamia

(2.5 étoiles; 1 critique)

The Valley of Trelamia is a sinister Cornish mystery written by Peter Redgrove. In this tale, a writer takes a holiday in deepest Cornwall and ventures into the Valley of Trelamia, a place believed to be haunted by a great snake.

As the author explores his own 'mysterious Celtic back yard', he discovers a disused tin mine and encounters the enigmatic Rose Trelamia, who shares the name of the valley. The story draws on the Keats narrative poem 'Lamia', which tells of a beautiful nymph trapped in the form of a serpent. The narrative takes a dramatic turn when both Rose and the author disappear during a sudden earthquake, leaving the audience eager for more.
