Five years ago when Lindsay Paulson, a naive college student and talented distance runner, was 18, she was convicted of drug smuggling. Now, halfway through a 10-year prison sentence, she begins having what seem to be dreams, in which she leaves her cell in the night and visits another reality called Trae. Dreaming of Deliverance tells of Lindsay’s experiences both in Trae, where she finds herself among people enslaved by terrifying creatures, and in prison where she tries to make sense of what’s happening in her sleep: Is she actually escaping from prison somehow or is she losing her mind?

Wow, Dan, thanks for the terrific review! I had so much fun writing and podcasting DoD. Now I'm writing DoD 2 and I can't wait until it's time to record again! Anyway, I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts. Thanks again! I wanted to let everyone know that the print ...

Eagerly awaiting the sequel, as this was such an enjoyable tale. Drawing the listener in from the start throughout the unexpected end. I have searched the internet for part two, to no avail. R. E. Chambliss is an awesome storyteller with a fantastic talent for changing up the voices from male to female, to a child and even a monster. Thank you!!

Wow, what a tale! Chambliss creates two worlds, each interesting and with its own perils, and a protagonist with a foot in each. Interesting for genre fiction I found the "mundane" world Chambliss creates within the walls of a prison to be more interesting in its vibrancy than that presented ...

Hands down, my favorite experience yet with a podiobook... and I've really enjoyed many of the titles here. I ended up so moved by this story, crying my eyes out after staying up all night listening, I had to write. In fact, this is the first comment I've ever left ...

Funny how you find things on the internet sometimes. I stumbled upon this book because of a Google search of my name (I was trying to find an old post on a forum somewhere I couldn't remember) and this came up because of "Trae," a diminutive my friends use. I ...

I haven't checked back here in forever, and now I see all of these lovely comments. Thank you all! Sorry to torture you, Shay! ;) I feel bad for the characters too! Thanks for listening and commenting. TerminusVox- Thank you for your comment! I'm glad the prison was so vivid ...

I am enjoying this story more than I thought I would. Such an interesting, well written contrast of the two very believable worlds. One hiccup jumped out at me, however: how is it that the people from Trae and Gray___ (sp?) use slang and profanity ("F" word) from Lindsay's world ...

Just completed the story. Loved it-well written and kept me on the edge with anticipation! Would like to see Lindsay's prison bunk mate play a role in part two as they continue or reconnect as friends- Teresa
