Memories of my youth.

Over the years I would think back to the post WWII era and remember the radio programs that played just after school. Home was in Rome, NY and the time was 1945-1948. When I found these files of Tennessee Jed, I was anxious to listen. The yodeling and the sound of the ricochet were so familiar. I did not remember that the program was juvenile nor the charactor expressed faith in God and views of right and wrong. The show is written in the "cliff hanger" style with good over evil, and I enjoyed a few episodes. I found however that today I prefer mystery and detective show such as, The Falcon, Philo Vance or The Shadow. But if my grandchildren were here, I would play it for them and enjoy it.
