Under-Read Masterpiece of Detective Fiction

(5 stars)

Really tremendous book and the reader did a phenomenal job--there were a few dodgy French pronunciations here and there but the overall result is probably the best I've heard in Librivox.

Charming voice, slightly rushed ending

(4 stars)

The narrator’s voice is warm, expressive, and perfect for the atmosphere of Arsene Lupin. It drew me in immediately. The only small downside is that the narration becomes a bit fast toward the end, but it didn’t ruin the experience. A very enjoyable listen.

Entertaining and well-read

(4 stars)

Lupin is both a rescuer and a thief and very clever. He seems to thrive on challenges and can even be kind-hearted. Who knows what his next adventure will be! There's a bit of humor here and there, too.

I enjoy the stories

Nice to have a good reading experience with a little mystery and a nice change with the good and socially classified evil in his thievery. Nothing was pat predictible! what fun!

My favorite Arsene book

(5 stars)

Dramatic twrists and turns where Arsene is one step ahead, no two, actually at least 3. So well read and such entertaining short stories. Each could be a book.

brilliant Cate Barrat performance

Each chapter is a standalone adventure of mystical thief Arsene Lupin, read by Cate Barrat. The stories are clever and well written, brought to life by our reader.

Great Collection

There were many 4-5 star reviews. I was rewarded with interesting & well murder mysteries. Kept me listening whilst in the shower... Enjoy, K.

Akin to Robin Hood, the Scarlet Pimpernel, and other gentleman thieves, I greatly enjoyed spending time with Arsene Lupin! Excellent reader, clever tales.
