Wonderful reader, greatly enjoyed it.

great reader

I don’t think I would have carried on with this us I was reading this but this reader was really good and kept me listening; the story is ok if you want to listen to a story about bratty kids treating their elders with contempt where I would have got a clip round my ears when I was a kid

good reading, a few technical problems

(4 Sterne)

I really enjoyed Libby Gohn's reading of this lesser-known Brontë work. I subtracted one star due to some glitches/skipping, mostly concentrated in chapter 17. I read the (short) omitted passage on Gutenberg, and there were no more problems with the rest of the book.

Pleasant listen

While I'm not sure I would have stuck with it were I reading in print, it was a nice, short story to listen to and I really enjoyed it. Libby was an excellent reader. Three stars to the book itself and five stars to the reader.

Sweet, & Good Story—Excellent Reader!

Though written many decades ago, this story, and it’s Truths and Comforts are timeless. Many, many thanks, Libby! Your beautifully conveyed emotions express this writer’s feelings, I know. You are a very gifted Reader, and I appreciate all the hours you’ve given to needy listeners, like me :D (I do hope you’re able to take on more Reading of great stories for us, Libby!)

TW animal cruelty! story overall was cute

(4 Sterne)

the animal cruelty depicted was difficult to stomach. the storyline was cute but the minute detail of each horrible character and Agnes' willingness to roll over and take it was too much. the ending made up for it but there were parts that could have been shortened.

Superb reading of a wonderful novel.

Libby does a superb job in reading this wonderful novel. Poor Agnes Grey! To have suffered the hardships and humiliations being a governess. Luckily all turns out well for her in the end. I highly recommend this book. Thank you Libby.

very good reading!

The novel is about Agnes Grey whose father dies and she therefore has to support her sister and mother by working as a governess at different families of the English gentry. It was a pleasure listening to the rendition!
