Bible (KJV) 21: Ecclesiastes
Gelesen von LibriVox Volunteers
King James Version

The book of Ecclesiastes is a wonderful book. It tells how all man's doing is futile, if it is done in his own strength. The last two verses sum it up quite nicely: "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. (Summary by GabrielleC) (0 hr 35 min)

A thought-provoking book about the emptiness of life without God. As the NIV puts it, 'He has set eternity in the hearts of men' (3:11). We are all seeking that something more our whole lives, but shall not truly find it till we pass to the other side. The first three readers were great.

Love the book of Ecclesiastes. Must they always let just anyone read? Lack of emotion takes away from every story ever read aloud. Ack!
Thank you!
