The only way I got through this mish mosh of confusion was J. M. Smallheer's excellent narration. I really never was able to discern who the main character in this story was. There were too many characters and the plot line was a bit convoluted. I am not sure I can really recommend this story but I can always recommend anything read by Ms. Smallheer! Keep up the wonderful work.
Excellent reading!!

I really enjoyed this book, but as others have said before me, it would have been much more confusing had it not been for the phenomenal reader. Mr White has a great mystery in this story, but the muddled way it is told keeps it from being truly excellent. It starts in the middle of the story and jumps around the timeline, turning what should have been intriguing bits of story into exposition. Had it begun from the real beginning and told the story straight through, there would have been a deeper connection to the characters, and the climax would have been far less anti-climatic. As it is, the reader did a superior job of guiding the listener through the tangled web, switching between voices/characters, and making what would have been dreary and unrealistic conversations less so.
Just okay

The narration was great. The story was a mixed bag for me. The story was all over the place and the mystery was never quite explained. Interesting characters and well read. Just an okay story.
fascinating tangle of events!
There are a lot of threads in this mystery that are tangled together and end up unravelling together at the end! This makes for a very interesting story!
Really a good read!!

The reader is awesome. She changes her voice a bit for characters and makes it very interesting. The mystery is not hard to follow but captivating.

I thourghly enjoyed this book. Since there was comment about confusion with the characters, I jotted down names as they came and found no confusion over them at all.
Excellent!

Some interesting moments in a hazy story. As everyone else, I thoroughly appreciated the reader.
