I always think of Edgar Wallace as a writer of dark tales, but this was an absolute hoot. Engagingly read as well.

enjoyable story with subtle humour. sometimes a bit tedious in trying to keep up with who the various characters are and long explanations, but the narrator was the perfect voice for this dry humour and kept me going to the end.

The narration is good.. the novel is incredibly boring. I suffered through 33/100 before throwing in the towel
