He speaks for himself

I'm relatively new to poetry, but Wordsworth is already by far my favourite. Among the more tempestuous english greats who seem to have a slight insanity behind their adoration of the ethereal, Wordsworth was not fanciful. He was described as someone we would describe nowadays as down to earth. He was kind, not merely making time for, but found joy and inspiration in the company of those less fortunate than himself. He lived a long life, I've read he went on long walks. I think that we find excitement in the mysteriously tormented poets. But I think, far more poetic are the works of a kind, observant man who had a life well lived.
