A Roger Sheringham mystery In a typical English country house, a murder is committed. The wealthy Victor Stanworth, who'd been playing host to a party of friends, is found dead in the library. At first it appears to be suicide, for the room was undoubtedly locked. But could there be more to the case? As one of the guests at Layton Court, gentleman sleuth Roger Sheringham begins to investigate. Many come under suspicion, but how could anyone have killed the man and gotten out of the room, leaving it all locked behind?
Note: This work contains an anti-Semitic remark, the offensiveness of which both the author and the publisher seem to be unaware.

Thank you for the lovely narration. This book is a bit drawn out and without this reader, I might have skipped chapters. Oh, if only the bad people in the world would get what they deserve. Many wealthy people gather for an enjoyable few days in the country. It soon turns into a mysterious tragedy. One guest chooses to investigate on his own. His findings do keep one guessing.

Great story, plenty of twists and turns and humor. And a terrific reader with a great pace and tone. If there are more of these stories I hope that she reads us more of them!

Dragged out much in places but the reader saved the book. I feel would have been better if it was a couple hours shorter. A big thank you to Ms. Erickson.
