This was an interesting allegory on life. Struggles can make us better people if we allow them to. It is a kindness of God, not a cruelty to allow difficult times to have the chance to shape us. Great reader too!

I was not in the mood for this story, as I was hoping for more of a fairy tale. But it was well read. A nice little moral children's tale. I quite liked the closing lines.
thought-provoking for all parents

I really enjoyed this story, even though I was disheartened to recognize myself in Agnes's character!
