When car-crazy George Ewart accepts employment as chauffeur to Count Bindo di Ferraris, an Italian aristocrat, he has no idea what he has just let himself in for. The opportunity to drive the powerful six-cylinder, 40 horsepower Napier open touring car provides happiness enough. The Count, however, has a secret agenda. Why is he always on the move? What mystery sees the Count Bindo rushing to the wealthy--and occasionally dangerous-- hot spots of Europe? And why must he leave so quickly after? Eventually, Ewart catches on to the Count's "mission." What will he do now?

WLQ changed it up with this one. I feel it is the best one yet. The reader has a nice pace and doesn't over do the reading. He isn't trying to act it out but is properly reading to share the story with you.

intriguing story, good reader

I like this author and this is an amusing story

Entertaining story, though a bit dull and foreseeable at times. The reading is unremarkable in the most positive sense - one can fully concentrate on the story. Perfect!!

engaging one and fun for me

At first, I was like, "Hey, is this 'Window' a window of a house ?" Then, a few chapters later, I'm all like, "Nah, 'Window' must be the next big character, right?" But lo and behold, I finally cracked the code – 'Window' is Bindow , the main character! Talk about a plot twist! And let's not even start with that elusive English accent – it's like trying to catch a squirrel on roller skates, but boy, is this adventure keeping me on my toes! 🏠🪟📚

interesting story very dated in everything. It's fun to hear them talk about bundling up to go automobile riding. with all the leather gloves goggles for coats and acetylene headlights. had an interesting plot sometimes a little convoluted but fairly easy to follow. I found it interesting kept me guessing.

This is a crazy book written from the accomplice's point of view. Quite enjoyable. Except for the chapter about the Red Rooster. That was horrible but then I am not a reader of goriness.

... all of Europe of which the dear listener will learn nothing at all, thereby castrating the entire story of any and all intrigue and suspense!100323!
