Tadhg an Astna Players Present: -   Atlantic Radio Ireland An anthology of radio plays, produced by Clonakilty's own Tadhg an Astna Players drama group. Community Radio in West Cork, Ireland. Episode one: Cross Lines A play written by Kieran Doyle and acted by Trish Walsh, Cathy Fitzgerald and Padraig Griffin.   This comic farce asks the age old question – what would happen if a person ringing AA ‘Alcoholics Anonymous’ was to ring AA ‘Automoble Association’ by accident without either side knowing…well find out here how thw whole affair unfolds Episode Two: Speed Dating This fast moving drama, written by Kieran Doyle, takes a comic look at dating in the 21st century – Speed Dating.   Two hard talking women from Cork City,  remind us of the pit falls of dating and clashes with the opposite sex.   Parts played by Trish Walsh, Caroline Conway, Neil Fitzpatrick and Kieran Doyle Episode three: Occupied Written by Neil Doran, is a light heated play about a serious issue. A couple’s future could hinge on whether the wife is pregnant. Hard enough to digest, especially when the conversation is either side of a locked bathroom door!   Caroline Conway and Kieran Doyle play the roles Episode four – Unfaithful ‘Unfaithful’ written by Caroline Conway is a comedy about the misdeeds of lovers. What happens when the wife of man you are having an affair with turns up at your hotel door? All is revealed.   Cast Chris O’Sullivan, Roisin Hanrahan and Caroline Conway Episode five – Homeless By Kieran Doyle Paul O Regan plays Ray Mullins, a homeless man who reveals his fall from grace through a series of memories, encounters and a frank conversation with his listening audience – you.  Greg Mulcahy and Caroline Conway skilfully play eleven other parts during this 45 minute play. This powerful plays shows the effects of homelessness and the thin line between having it all to losing it all.  It provokes the audience to question their own conceptions about homelessness as they are forced to stare into the very soul of Ray and modern Ireland’s greatest failing – dealing with homelessness.
