decent book... terrible ending

(3 Sterne)

I can honestly say that I loved the idea behind the story. I have had many daydreams of assuming the persona of many of my characters and traveling through the mystical realms. However, I am disappointed with quite a few issues with your novel and oration of it. If one can ignore the lack of fluidity in the dialog between the characters, and frequently mispronounced words it makes for an enjoyable experience. but the voices you used for the characters was often annoying and hard to understand. I would like to see a better written sequel because you do have talent, but you need to focus more on your dialog and pronunciation of fairly easy words.

Decent audio book

To tell you the truth, this is not the best audio book i have ever listened to but that dosnt mean it wasn't a good story. This guy put a lot of hard work into this book that to tell you the truth i wish i could do. For this being his first story and him reading the book, he did a great job. The concept of the book is great and if i can find another extinction to this story, i would listen to it. Thank for reading.

okay...(breath)....okay. My apologies, but i could not even get past episode 1 man. The sheer mispronunciation is making my head WANT to explode! The story sounds interesting, but it DEFINITELY needs to be remastered. I might've been able to keep going but if you are going to write a story ...

meh

I don't know what's worse, the character James' vocalization or the narrator's horrific inability to pronounce words correctly. Honestly I'm climbing walls here. The story starts off with a group of people that seem designed more to cover all sorts of social and ethnic types rather than being actual characters. The subject itself is something like many tabletop RPGers think about from time to time, and is in fact the same base plot seen in many young budding authors (not an actual complaint but there's a lot of 'been there done that'). The game session at the beginning was tedious. If that's how this guy plays tabletop keep me out. 1 star for decent production, second star because he actually put stuff out there; every author needs to start their career somewhere, even a pile of burning garbage.

darkage is terrible.

This story is terrible. It was like listening to a story written by a 14 year old boy, a mentally disabled 14 year old boy. I am awed that this story was recorded, edited, and released to the public. All after listening to it! to libravox, Please institute some type of quality control. I have listened to over 100 audiobooks ok n this app and most were great, some were amazing, and some were absolutely torture. Maybe some prerequisites are in order, such as, production value ( at least a proper mic and software). Maybe give a listen before release and weed out some of the worse ones? This sould not have made the cut fo sho!

Very awkward.

Mispronunciations of basic words would disrupt the “flow” of the “story,” if the flow and story were worth listening to. While it is an interesting premise, there are many impossibilities. “I was in the army,” suuuuuure you were YOU ARE A TEENAGER!! The author doesn't even read the story he wrote well. There are very simple words he has mispronounced, as well as general stumbling over the text. Would rate higher if the story was worth listening to in any way other than humor value, and that’s only possible because of the horrid reading. It's also very sexual for no apparent reason. Maybe try writing more books, but make them more realistic and less idealized.

good Book

A good book I love the wackiness of it and the idea of Dark age I have read hundreds of books and if this one had been more clean it would rank in my top 10 also if it was more clean it would influence a much larger group of readers my favorite character definitely was the gladiator I think the end of the story left me in suspense of what’s next and I really want to know how they get out of Dark Age thanks for the story however I cannot recommend it to friends because of the dirtiness 🙁 I totally like the idea of dark age it was very awesome thanks

I'm sorry but this is awful. great story idea but poorly written and atrocious reading. Obviously written by a 14 year old boy. He describes his characters as teenagers but some "were" in the Army in the past? (minimum enlistment age 17 with a 4 year hitch). Also these teenagers are legally buying alcohol and have several DUIs. The preoccupation with large chested women and your own penis size is great until you actually have sex. worst book I've come across so far. simple words mispronounced.
