If you're expecting a good 1930s gangster novel this isn't it. I usually finish any book I start. Audio or otherwise. I couldn't do it with this one. Really more of a love story than anything, this recording is unedited with the author pausing after every screw up to say ...

I really enjoyed this story. The author strives to make it as historically accurate as possible, so you really feel like you're swept back to the 1930's. If you're into historical fiction this book will be right up your alley. Also, on a personal note, I love the narrating author's ...

Very bad audio quality, and the story is not very good due to lack of character depth. I'm going to tough it out because I hate to end a book in mid stream. Not worth the download.

I really enjoyed this novel. Yes I do like historical fiction but I also like gangster and detective novels. In fact I like Ed McBain. I am looking forward to your next one John.
