Warlord of Kor (version 2)
Terry Carr
Read by Mark Nelson
GOD, MACHINE--OR LISTENING POST FOR OUTSIDERS?
Horng sat opposite the tiny, fragile creature who held a microphone, its wires attached to an interpreting machine. He blinked his huge eyes slowly, his stiff mouth fumblingly forming words of a language his race had not used for thirty thousand years.
"Kor was ... is ... God ... Knowledge." He had tried to convey this to the small creatures who had invaded his world, but they did not heed. Their ill-equipped brains were trying futilely to comprehend the ancient race memory of his people.
Now they would attempt further to discover the forbidden directives of Kor. Horng remembered, somewhere far back in the fossil layers of his thoughts, a warning. They must be stopped! If he had to, he would stamp out these creatures who were called "humans." - Summary by Gutenberg text (3 hr 27 min)

Good read , fun story. Interesting plot and a couple thought provoking underlying questions to be found throughout this story . Resolves nicely, and teases the reader continuously until near the very end. Thanks!
Interesting story

A little different take than your usual scifi stories. Exceptional read by Mark
old but not outdated

I really enjoyed the universe which had been constructed in which the story is set. I found many of the characters still believable and relatable even though this is an older story. In some respects, that’s more a case of how little we have progressed in the way, we treat those who are “ Other“. Really good story, and very well read by this excellent writer.
Nice story, excellent reading

Even though it's a pure sci fi story, but I couldn't help but think that this story might happen (or something similar) one day. I like stories where a MC makes a mistakes and has no longer the option for pure right or wrong.
Interesting concepts

I like old school Sci Fi, and Warlords of Kor is a good example of such. There's depth to it, as well. It's not your standard fare. The reader is excellent, and this interesting story moves right along.
loved it
