This is a great story with action, suspense, comedy, and romance. Very fun and well written. It is also wonderfully read. Karen is a wonderful expressive reader.

Absolutely brilliant reading. Karen Savage pronunciation of all the French words makes this reading. I was riveted like no other librovox title. I have literally listened to this book like 5 times. Ms. Savage you have my eternal gratitude. I have listened to a thousand titles, this was the finest of them all.

My wife loves the story so well, her scarlet red BMW has a personalized license plate PIMPRNL. And the reader is fabulous. Quite the story teller...

Very Fun!

The Scarlet Pimpernel is a tolerably well-written adventure story. If frequently repeated phrases don’t bother you (peremptory, or low, musical voice, or childlike face, etc) then you’ll probably enjoy this book. Once again, Karen Savage is a delight to listen to. I knew she was talented in English accents, so when she proved to be comfortable in French I was quite pleasantly surprised. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful! I’ve listened to it twice and it never fails to keep me on my toes. Karen savage is by far the best narrator I have ever listened to. I also highly recommend others of the scarlet pimpernel series.each one is an amazing account of how the mysterious hero thwarts his enemies and uses his witty jokes to make them still angrier!!!!!!

Everything nice except telling you beforehand who the scarlet pimpernel is, annoying :/

It is easy and light hearted read.

I loved the story and Karen's many accent inotations. She has an English accent , she is not a Texan!! My only criticism is that, I found Karen was speaking far too fast. In fact, four times I had to replay a part and put my volume on high, so I could understand the word that she had just hurried!! I could often hear her gasping for breath, because she was racing through the text. Two examples of such, were in chapter 18 at 4.06 approximately, she said, '' Bluebeards" wife. I presume it was in reference, to the famous pirate and at 3.57 approximately, she said, "unmolested". It sounded as if, she was in a hurry and that annoyed me. I would have given her five stars but for that. I look forward to checking out other books by this author. I hope , Karen doesn't narrate her other books, quite as fast. However, I'd still like to thank Karen, if she's reading this.
