The space platform represents freedom from war, and not all factions want that. Some want war, it keeps them in control, and these are determined to sabotage the platform at any cost. This is a nice short story with a bit of action to it, plus a mystery or two. I enjoyed it. Mark N did his usual nice job with reading. Thanks!

What an enjoyable story. The advertisements between some chapters were a surprise. They were forgotten instantly as the story was so good. Adventure, intrigue, action and hints of a love story, all mingled with technology, created a tale I didn’t want to end. Thank you Murray Leinster for showing excellence in the absence of profanity and sex. This was “my kind” of listening pleasure .
An absolutely gripping tale

This is what Librivox is all about! A great reading of a marvellous story. Very enjoyable all round. Unlike a lot of older sci-fi it's not stuck into too much pseudo science or moralising on political themes. just a great story with a good plot which holds water and the listeners attention. excellent
Old but accurate Sci Fi

A great story that really holds up considering it was writ in '52. It predicts everything from Teflon to the international space station. The way he portrays minorities, women, and little people in the book is a bit odd to modern tastes but he is very PC for 75 years ago.
