New Adventures of Alice
by John Rae
Read by LibriVox Volunteers
In New Adventures of Alice, John Rae imagines further journeys for the girl made famous by Lewis Carroll. Inspired by his childhood rereadings of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Rae created these stories for his own children before bringing them to a wider audience.
The book returns Alice to a world of playful fantasy and humor, populated by an assortment of unusual figures. Its premise is less a continuation by Carroll than one reader’s affectionate answer to the question of what else Alice might encounter.
Published in 1917, Rae’s collection offers a glimpse of how Carroll’s imaginative world inspired another generation of children’s storytelling. The audiobook is presented as a dramatic reading with multiple volunteer voices.

Being a big fan of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland series., having a part 3 of this written was inevitable. Will listen to this again and again, I have no doubt,as long the Queen has no objections!
