Aesop's Fables or the Aesopica are a collection of fables credited to Aesop, a slave and story-teller believed to have lived in ancient Greece between 620 and 560 BCE. The fables remain a popular choice for moral education of children today. Many of the stories, such as The Fox and the Grapes (from which the idiom "sour grapes" derives), The Tortoise and the Hare, The North Wind and the Sun, The Boy Who Cried Wolf and The Ant and the Grasshopper are well-known throughout the world. Deep apologies for the terrible sound quality of the first half of this Audiobo…

This was recorded over some years at different times, some on cassette and all are noise reduced so much that digital artifacts are inevitable. The sound quality improves as it goes. Please bare with it. These stories are quite intense. Thank you to all who have downloaded these little "gems".

Not for Kids!!

(5 stars)

Some of the common fables I remember as a kid, others hearing for the first time~they are pretty messed up! Liked hearing all the fables read by the same person, Michael Armenta....with none of the background noise heard in other readings of Aesop's Fables.
