Civil Disobedience (Resistance to Civil Government) is an essay by American transcendentalist Henry David Thoreau that was first published in 1849. In it, Thoreau argues that individuals should not permit governments to overrule or atrophy their consciences, and that they have a duty to avoid allowing such acquiescence to enable the government to make them the agents of injustice. I have struggled to find truly great reading of a text that seem to convey exactly what the writer intended. I'm happy this was one of them. the sound was great, the pauses and intonation were perfect and the Bob's voice has a particular colour that makes you fall in love with it. Thank you!

The absolute best combination of reader and book I have ever bear witness. This gentlemans voice sounds exactly as I would imagine the writer would sound, as if the writer was reading before his ink had dried. I am inspired to re-interperate the text to suit my homeland, if only I could justly.
