Reviews
Rachel Scobee
excellent narrative novel concerning a maternal love.
Ok!

This book is so cerebral that I wished at times a dog would run into the scene nd bark, or a baby giraffe. Her focus is on the insides of her characters’ minds, which is also pretty gripping at times, and the reader is given the chance to compare these people’s actions to what her own might be. But the best part was the reading of it, by Jacquerie.

There is much food for thought here. It grabbed my attention and held on. I think I'd like to live in the society that put more emphasis on choosing the higher road.
Puzzled

The story was a little meandering and the ending was quite abrupt. Not my favourite Edith Wharton novel but the reader, Jacquerie, is superb. Thank you
