Terry and the Pirates
Pat Captures Dragon Lady
by
Terry and the Pirates brings Milton Caniff’s adventure comic strip to radio, following young Terry Lee and his companions through a world of danger, travel, and intrigue. The series is known for its vivid cast of adventurers, including the formidable Dragon Lady, whose shifting alliances make her a compelling presence in Terry’s world.
Radio turns the strip’s action into a dramatic soundscape, using dialogue, narration, and effects to convey perilous encounters and far-flung settings. The stories blend suspense, daring escapes, and personal loyalties, with the characters’ choices driving the adventure.
The result is a brisk, atmospheric adventure serial with a classic pulp sensibility: danger is never far away, and even a moment of apparent victory can lead to a new complication. It offers an engaging mix of action and character-centered intrigue.
