Mr. Keen, Tracer of Lost Persons
The Case of Murder and the Jewel Thief
by
Mr. Keen, Tracer of Lost Persons is a long-running radio mystery series centered on the kindly, methodical private detective Mr. Keen and his young assistant, Mike Clancy. Together, they take on cases involving people who have disappeared, using patient questioning and careful investigation to uncover what happened.
The program presents self-contained mysteries in a dramatic radio format, with dialogue, narration, and sound effects carrying the investigation from its first clues toward a solution. Cases often draw on family troubles, romantic entanglements, and suspicions of crime, giving the detectives personal circumstances as well as puzzles to unravel.
Mr. Keen’s calm, reassuring manner and Clancy’s more energetic presence give the series a gentle, accessible tone. Its appeal lies in following the clues alongside the detectives and hearing a troubling disappearance brought to a clear resolution.
