Susanna is an English Oratorio composed by Georg Friedrich Händel. The libretto has been variously attributed to Newburgh Hamilton or Moses Mendes. It was first performed at the Covent Garden theatre in London on February 10th 1749.
The story of Susanna and the Elders is taken from Chapter 13 of the Book of Daniel in the Old Testament.
