In dem vierten Teil der Tarzan Bücher ist Tarzan's Sohn Jack die Hauptfigur. Er begegnet in London einem gefangenen Riesenaffen, den er in seine Dschungel Heimat zurückbringen will. Es legen sich ihm einige Hindernisse in den Weg, die zur Folge haben, daß er längere Zeit in der Dschungel bleibt.
