Let's Make A Festival
Let's Make a Festival is an engaging afternoon play that takes a look at the early years of the Aldeburgh Festival through the eyes of the renowned composer Benjamin Britten and the women who played pivotal roles in its creation.
This production features music by the Oakfield Preparatory School Choir and the Minims, under the direction of Maggie Vincent. The cast includes Nicholas Farrell as Benjamin Britten, Sarah Badel as Beth Britten, and several other talented actors bringing the story to life.
The Aldeburgh Festival of Music and the Arts, which began in 1948, showcased a diverse program of concerts, recitals, and performances, including Britten's own opera, Albert Herring.
