Great Listening - Non Offensive, Not Rude

(5 stars)

Great radio crime drama, nothing offensive or rude in this play. I can only assume that one of the previous reviewers is of a young age and perhaps likes life “nice and fluffy”. I have family in the police going back to the 1960s, 70s 80s and even today. The stories of true life events they have had to investigate would make us have nightmares. In their day there were no therapists to talk too and it was a vocation, so they got on with it. To keep them sane sometimes they would have to be sarcastic or grumpy, it was how they dealt with it. I work in a bank and only last month I was shouted at in the banking hall in front of my colleagues, “that I was too nice to the customers” so I have asked to go on a course that can train me to be offensive, rude and vile to my customers. Please enjoy this drama, The characters are written by RD Wingfield, and it is such enjoyable listening. Thank you to roadannouncer for uploading this to Archive.org

Offensive play

(1 stars)

This is really offensive but I am pleased to have listened to it as it makes me realise that the world has got better in some ways. A play with a whole of policemen being rude and offensive.

Wonderful

Clear historical detective drama, Wingfield really gets to the heart of policing, which for those who have really read K. Marx, has changed little. Reviews need to be grammatically correct and not the rantings of unemployed students.

... that R D. Wingfield was a creative and truthful writer, maybe a genius in recreating the dialogue of policemen, giving the suspenseful realism to his work! 090923 ! 09:38 !

Thank you!
