St. Louis Sound Collage

In February of 1991, Kenneth Dwain Harrelson traveled to St. Louis, Missouri for post office window clerk training. Accompanied by his musician friend Eric, they spent their nights playing guitars and writing songs, while Kenneth experimented with a new four-track cassette recorder. This collection captures the sounds of their two-week experience, documented through recordings made in various locations around the city.

The recordings include a variety of settings, from the Science Museum to Holiday Inn rooms, and even a movie theater. Kenneth also recorded moments with his friend Kent, showcasing the vibrant atmosphere of St. Louis during that time. This unique audio collage offers a glimpse into their creative process and the sounds that inspired them.
