Radio Comedy starring the Marx Brothers The only known surviving extracts from the Marx Brothers' 1932-33 radio comedy series, in which Groucho and Chico Marx play Flywheel and Ravelli. Includes the only surviving complete episode, The Ocean Cruise , where, after stowing away aboard a ship, Groucho impersonates a famous explorer in order to get ashore, and is invited to the Long Island home of wealthy socialite Mrs Rivington. Flywheel, Shyster and Flywheel was part of a daily series on NBC's Blue Network called Five Star Theater , sponsored by Standard Oil and Colonial Beacon Oil, which featured a different program each weeknight: comedy from the Marx Brothers was on Monday nights. Starring Groucho and Chico Marx, the series ran 26 weeks. These recordings, all from the final three aired shows, are all that now survive, including the second half of No.25 and the entire No.26 (the final show to air). The recordings presented here are higher quality audio than most others currently available for this show. Uploaded as .ogg format audio files.
