Here is the summary for this audio book from the librivox.org page as it doesn't seemed to have made it's way over her: "A habitual late night stroll down Markendale Square plunges Viner into the middle of things most mysterious and most perplexing. A murder, an imposter, secret papers, all combine to mystify even the police themselves. Is Hyde as innocent of the crime as he claims? What is the clue of the veiled woman and the diamond ring? Things are not what they seem to be and how can Viner prove the man’s innocence?" A really great story and excellent reader. It didn't really lose my attention through the entire story with it's many twists and turns.

I thought this was an ok mystery. I felt there were too many characters to keep straight. If not for this I'd probably have enjoyed this story more. I actually like the Middle Temple Murder the best of the 3 books of Fletcher's that I've heard so far. I like the stories enough to listen to all that Librivox offers. Also, people should be reviewing the story not the app. Pay for the version without commercials!
very enjoyable

This is much better than Fletcher's other book, The Middle Temple Murder. The story was well developed and had lots of plot twists, but had a very pleasant ending. The narrator was good and has a very easy to listen to voice.
Another Typical J.S.Fletcher novel
Angels Walk
This author writes of Good triumphant over Evil, always with considerable wealth, being stolen from a hapless, or innocent, female...by fraud, deceit & even Murder. However, with happy endings. I love his books!
Cool story, well read

The story opens with an older lady, Miss Pankridge, lecturing her nephew Viner on how murder and adventure lurk around every corner. He scoffs, but she insists and provides several examples. After she goes to sleep, he takes a walk... into a murder victim. Ah the foreshadowing! :-) Now Viner and Miss Pankridge are not the sort to let this opportunity go unchecked, they join in the fun of solving this complicated murder mystery. It was well read, well written, and a fun story overall. Enjoy!
reader takes some getting used to

It's a very good mystery with very evil villans but very smart sleuths, even the ones without a license. It's sad since father and daughter never get to know each other as such. He took steps that his daughter would have her place.
Very enjoyable.

Not one of my primary genres, but I've found that I enjoy Fletcher mysteries. This is my third and I'll listen to more. This is my first experience with this reader, but it won't be my last. It is a real pleasure to listen to her.
