Lou has become the new sheriff, but Bud doesn't think he knows the first thing about being a sheriff and tries to tell Lou what it could be like. Mrs. Niles is having problems with cattle rustlers, so sheriff Costello and Abbott head out to her ranch and then get on the trail of the rustler Cactus Pete.
