A new murder, an old murder or suicide, & paternity must be figured out. This is enough to keep you interested without being too much to keep track of. My one gripe is that some assumed paternity without proof. There was only a marriage certificate. I know I'd have wanted a birth certificate from the start instead of coming to that idea later on. This is just one small issue though.

many twists and turns, keeps you guessing till the end.

ummm, I did not see that coming... kinda brutal but interesting crime story from the standpoint that I thought I'd heard it all. But sugar is "gore" and Hindus are "Thugs" and brooches are effective gags. Who knew?

GOOD OLD FASHIONED DETECTIVES STORY

(4 stars)

Agatha Christie must have read these books. The reader has a lovely voice and once I got used to his rather flat pulpit like intoning style I was glad I continued on

One of my favorite narrators

2019 - apparently it's been awhile since I've listened. I forgot how awful the victim was murdered and how evil the murders were.

Very enjoyable. Lots of unexpected twists. The reader takes a few minutes to get used to but once you do is very pleasant.

Twists, murder, greed, romance and Richard Kilmer (narration) - what more can you ask of a good read?!?
