Reviews

Exciting for a Century old!

(5 stars)

This is best as a stand alone novel. When read, or listening, this Author's trilogy is redundant. Our Hero is a bit too perfect & his lady love, a bit too self sacrificing, however, each novel alone, is great. The LibriVox Volunteer is difficult to understand occasionally, though an extraordinary Reader. I highly recommend these Jimmy Dale adventures.

Good to the end.

Reader, as always, was excellent. The story also remained gripping. The cloak-and-dagger escapades of The Gray Seal are now complete. His practiced integrity won for him the appreciation of ... But you will have to go with the story to find out!?! ;^)

draggs a bit, but still a good ride. Anna, as always, makes the story better. thank you!

Somewhat Repetitive, But Still Well Worth Listening To

(3.5 stars)

The novels are written as if they were radio serials, so there is a good deal of repetition. However, the characters and stories themselves, as well as the lovely reading, make this -and the other Jimmy Dale books - well worth listening to. These are great books for providing entertainment, while one does crafts or chores.

(5 stars)

Engaging story, well read by Anna. Her accent and occasion misspronouciation make it seem very 1800's which is the stories setting.

(4.5 stars)

just as good as the previous 2. I wonder why the author never says 'Jimmie". it's always "Jimmie Dale"

a well presented book of twists and stairways of characters
