Probably I am not the demographic for this type of novel and of course that influences my judgment about the book. Anyway, I will try to be objective about it. I did not liked it because it is way to simplified. The flashbacks about her vampire past, the way she ...

My impression from listening to chapter one is 'Twilight meets Dexter".

I would not call it a waste of time...

While I did feel that this was geared towards teenagers, I did like the story. The flashbacks to her family and beginnings of become a vampire helped give the character depth and avoided the book being a Twilight wannabe. I would read a sequel to this.

I do enjoy the story but feel the flow of it was spoilt by the music and songs between chapters as well as the warms about mature content. As much as I enjoy the story I will be finding another version to listen to if I wish to hear it again.

This was pretty good to begin with but the music interruptions got annoying really fast.

Just finished listening to this book and I feel cheated. This should have never been categorized as a horror, nor compared to works of Stephen King. It is literally like calling Twilight series a horror. The best I could describe it, is a female friendly erotica for tweens with some vampires thrown in to try to keep your interest. If you truly enjoy vampire books or a horror genre, do not waste your time on this garbage, and listen to Sigler's Underwood and Flinch instead.
