Walpole

Outstanding biography. More recent scholarship has done little to supersede it. May still be, even 135 years later the best account of Walpole’s political life. The reader mispronounced some words, but otherwise was clear. I appreciate the decision to read the footnotes, but they could have been abbreviated to include only the author, title of the work, and date of publication, omitting other footnote elements.

Well narrated, a little difficult to digest for someone unfamiliar with 18th century English politics.

Learned a lot.
