Nobody
Susan Warner
Read by LibriVox Volunteers
There are many romantic tales about a handsome and rich man falling in love with a beautiful lower class woman over the objections of his family. Remember Elizabeth Bennett and Fitzwilliam Darcy? however, it takes more than a good woman to secure a man's happiness. He has to have mental strength. It is not certain that our hero, Tom, has that. Lois is a great woman. However, according to his sister, she is a "nobody." Does money and position control everything? Certainly not. Good people deserve to be happy. But only those who have enough strength to secure their happiness, on their own terms. A secondary plot involves Philip, another man who loves Lois, who discovers the love of God and becomes a better man. Not for the woman he loves, but for himself. Want to know if Tom overcomes his family's objections and married the love of his life? Want to read a lively book with an unforgettable and enchanting writing style? If you do, read the book. Reviews
Living your believes.

This book is in keeping with Ms.Warner's others in that all shine the light of Our Father's love for us .Also this story looks deeply into the choices one must make when they're living by the word of Our Father God.

A very nice book with nicely developed characters and plot. I loved that it was truly Christian, but sometimes the grandmother seemed too narrow like for example when M. Barclay suggests to teach Madge to paint the grandmother’s answer implies that painting is useless. Other than that it was a lovely charming story with a beautiful heroine.
Kind of slow
Wendy Mathieu
This was a pretty slow moving and not hugely exciting book. Perfect for falling asleep to. I find it hard to adjust from one reader to another, but I really appreciate all the time the readers put into volunteering. Thank you!
Excellent!!!

Most beautiful, inspirational and satisfying story I have ever had the pleasure to hear, ever.

Wonderful story with well developed characters. Enjoyed it. Author had an instructive historical take on the role of alcohol in earlier American Christian life/community as a strong side note. Several of the readers were excellent.
Just wonderful!!

Thanks to all the readers, although some of them were a little hard to understand it is still a wonderful story. Well worth listening to.

This sweet story illustrates the true, happy contentment that comes in loving, and living for God, in doing the work He gives us.
