Good, well rounded intro to philosophy

(4.5 stars)

If you know very little about philosophy but want to know more. This is an excellent starting point. Nice way to spend a weekend lecture series. Her presentation style made it possible to follow some complex logic and reasoning often associated with pholosophy

Shame it's a class

It would have been better if it was presented as a lecture without student participation as that does get a little annoying

Fantastic

Marianne Talbot does an excellent job explaining so much in such a short time. She provides a great deal of room for the listener to work through the various problems and for the audience to question and interrogate the ideas, before further explaining them or offering up the "solutions" to each case. Also a very likeable speaker.
