Wondering

Just wondering on these about the license 3.0 about non-commercial etc. arent these public domain works? In order to qualify for new copyright there has to be substantial new material created. I just dont know why people continue to try and claim copyright on public domain materials even if it has been reencoded etc. It just doesnt qualify and further confuses the public domain copyright issues. These recordings have been floating around for quite some time and I dont think some Group can then state what people can or can not do with them. And for all those who want to give me flack about this, pleae brush up on your copyright law and specifically the courts rulings on copies of public domain materials first before you start bashing me.
It's history, as told in schools years ago, a documentary of Asia
XMinusOne
This is an excellent documentary-type series, providing insights into the Asia of pre-WWII and during the war. Excellent writing of (what was then perceived as being accurate - and for the most part, still is), excellent narration. Well worth downloading and listening to, and it doesn't matter which episode you choose to listen to; they stand alone, and stand alone well. Note: Missing in the singles list are the latter episodes (the last episode is number 184. Episodes 127 through 156 can't be downloaded from the certified list (the zip file) as the zip file is, apparently, corrupt.
